Object of the Game

The rules for Darts are very simple, yet the game requires skill and accuracy in order to play well.

The object of the game is to count down from the starting number of 501 to exactly zero. When a player throws rounds of three darts, the sum of those darts gets subtracted from the starting number.

The object of the game is to score as many points as possible by collapsing the groups of 2 or more adjacent sea-creatures.

Playing the Game

The Dart (arrow) will appear at the start of the game. The dart vibrates in the vicinity of the mouse cursor in order to make the game more dynamic and to require an extra skill element from players.
  • To throw the 'shaking' dart, first stop it in the desired location by pressing the left mouse button.
  • To increase the power of the throw, hold down the left mouse button longer before releasing it. Power indicator will shows the power of the throw.

Scoring -- Points and Current Score

Each dart is scored by the number where it lands on the target with the thin inner ring being worth 3 times the number indicated and the thin outer ring worth 2 times the number indicated while the two large sections score exactly the number indicated. Thus, the highest attainable score with three darts is 180 by hitting three tripple 20.
Hitting the center ( the smallest black circle) gives 50 points, while hitting the small red circular area around the center gives 25 points.
If, for example, at the end of the game when all you have left is 5 points and you hit a 20, then this throw does not count. You will have to keep throwing until you get 5 or fewer points.

The Current Score IS DIFFERENT from points:

Current Score = (501 - points) * 2 - 5 * dartsUsed

In the above formula:
  • points are the final points on the blackboard (the best number is ZERO -- completed game)
  • dartsUsed -- the number of darts used in game

    Time Bonus

  • If points left <= 20, Time Bonus equals the number of seconds left
  • If points left <= 100, Time Bonus equals the number of seconds left / 2

    Strategy Tips
  • Once you get comfortable controlling the power of your shots, try navigating and stopping the vibrating dart in the central area below the outer circle in the vicinity of number 3. Instead of aiming at the dead center, aim in the area of 20 points and occasional 60 points (thin outer ring worth triple 20 points)
  • If at the end of the game you have left 20 points or less, try aiming at the area that contains the exact number of points to shoot for!
